Can I sent copy of my bankruptcy discharge paper to the credit bureau to have them eliminate the ban

I filed for bankruptcy on 2000. I was told to sent the discharge documents to credit bureau to have those record eliminate. I want to know if that can be done.

Eliminate the bankruptcy? As for as I know there is no way to remove the record of a BK from your credit report. As time goes by it become less important if you%26#039;ve maintained good credit since then though.

The bankruptcy will not come off the credit bureau since it has been discharged. It will only update the status with your discharge date under the public record section. The bankruptcy will stay on there for 10 years.
