The difference was 50 or more points. While three credit bureau%26#039;s score were approximately the same, FICO was 50 or more points lower. It was good for me since the loan company didn%26#039;t use FICO. But, it was strange.
Has anybody noticed FICO scores are much different from individual credit bureau%26#039;s scores?
If you are getting your scores directly from a specific Credit Bureau (example: an Experian report from freecreditreport.com offers a Plus Score, TransUnion offers a TransRisk New Account Credit Score) these are separate from FICO scores. The fine print on their websites makes this clear. They are called FAKO scores and are calculated by the bureau itself.
FICO score is a formula developed by a company called Fair Isaac. The reason you hear this all the time is because it is used by more the 90% of all lenders or credit providers (along with other factors) when making a decision on whether to grant someone credit. The best place to see your actual credit score that lenders will see when they pull your credit is www.MyFico.com.
I have used credit monitoring services for all 3 credit bureaus which provided me scores. I just recently purchased my first home and an hour before I applied, I pulled my scores from MyFico. My actual Fico scores differed significantly from the scores the bureaus had given me, but were exactly the same as the numbers my lender received when they pulled my credit. Summary, MyFico.com will give you the most accurate credit score that a lender will most likely see.

The three credit bureaus scores make up your Fico score. There is no difference. The middle of the three scores is considered your Fico score by a lender.
The three scores can definitely differ by 50 points or more, but it%26#039;s irrelevant when you take the midscore. There is one other credit reporting system, but I don%26#039;t believe any home lenders use it yet.

FICO isn%26#039;t a seperate score. There are only the three bureaus to determine your score.
I%26#039;ve seen as much as 70 points from one to another-- and BOTH had the exact same information-- which is really frustrating.
