Does anyone know about the new credit reporter??? When we pulled our credit bureau report and then called to correct errors...We found out there is a 4th reporting agency out there..besides Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion

There are many other credit bureaus, both local companies handling local business for the 鈥淏ig Three鈥?and credit bureaus which the 鈥淏ig Three鈥?themselves use to verify information during credit disputes from consumers. But, I think the one you are referring to is Innovis.

Innovis is a new credit bureau currently being developed by CBC Companies. The credit files it is keeping are not complete, as they have not yet wooed the majority of creditors to sign up with its system as have the other three bureaus.

This company serves as a repository for many public records and is used by the 鈥淏ig Three鈥?to verify consumer鈥檚 public information.

ChexSystems

Bet you didn鈥檛 know there was a 鈥渃redit bureau鈥?just for checking accounts, did you? It鈥檚 called ChexSystems, and if you ever have the honor of being listed with ChexSystems, you鈥檒l have a very tough time opening up a new checking account.

If you鈥檙e on their 鈥渂lacklist,鈥?there are still a few banks which don鈥檛 use ChexSystems.

You should request your reports from each of these places to see what is being reported about you! By law, you get 1 free report per year from each of them!

I have never heard of this. But I will be watching this question to see the answer. I know that they have rearranged the actuall credit scores and now they have what%26#039;s called a %26quot;vanatge score%26quot; which is all your 3 credit scores averaged together to get one score. I did however ask one of the credit bureaus about this and they sounded clueless, so maybe it%26#039;s not up and running yet. But I%26#039;m sure you can google more information on it.

There is a %26quot;hidden%26quot; fourth credit reporting agency. They are called Innovis/CBC. They were mainly used by companies to determine if they want to send you those Pre-Approved applications for credit cards. They are not a major player in the lending industry yet.
