Threats from a hospital to the Credit bureau??

Damn, I tried to write out the whole story but it wouldn%26#039;t let me. So.. I owe the hospital a total $1350.. It was totally bogus to have to pay that ridiculous price.. They didn%26#039;t do anything! Well anyway.. long story short, I agree to pay them, but only 20 dollars a month.. To be annoying, I send them 10 dollars biweekly. My checks are all sent through my bank, which is called i-bill. I just log-on the computer and tell them to send my money to this place.. It is already in their system, to whom I send it to, so I don%26#039;t have to keep typing in the address and so-forth, okay, so they didn%26#039;t cash my last check that they got (which is only ten dollars) and they have sent me a nasty letter threatening to send me to the Credit Bureau if I do not pay them $10 dollars with in five days. I think they are annoyed in my payment style and somebody is being an a-s-s, other than me. ;) ****.. gotta finish this on an additional.

Complain to the payment department at the hospital and copy the hospital administrator. Do this in writing, and attach your proof of payment. Explain in your letter that harassment is illegal and will be dealt as such if you receive any further notices. Also explain that you can and will be checking your credit, and if any negative ratings appear, you will deal with that legally as well.

Call the hospital and yell at people!

My boyfriend owes $450 and all the doctor said was %26quot;I can%26#039;t help you because I don%26#039;t know what stung you%26quot; (he got stung by what we thought was a poisonous spider) and gave him a needle.

$450 for nothing at all!!!!

that happens months ago and I still haven%26#039;t sent in a payment but they do send things every month.

but legally they can send it to the credit bureau but only if you are not making payments- that you have agreed to do so. so stop doing $10 and just do the $20.

Zorak says, %26quot;I admire your style, human!!%26quot; I don%26#039;t think you can really do anything, and both sides are really at a loss to the avenues you can take. The only recourse I can see for you is to file a grievance with the Credit Bureau, explaining the situation. You would have to provide hard copies of your payments, the payment agreement, etc. Despite this, it might not be good for you, because your Credit Score would be based on whether or not your debt was paid in full; it sucks, but that is usually how they base it. You will probably have to wait until you have it paid off in full, but even then, you may receive a %26quot;bad credit%26quot; score because of this. That%26#039;s MAYBE. The hospital is just trying to intimidate you into paying the full amount all at once, and, like you said, there might be someone aggravated at your payment schedule. However, I believe it is all just an automated system, and they send out letters regardless of when you mail in your payments. They do it to ensure they get money. I wouldn%26#039;t worry about it, and just make your payments. If you have to apply for credit anyplace, do mention this is the ONLY thing you owe, but you are making payments. Most places offer you a chance even if you have some bad credit; they prefer good credit, and bad credit, is better than NO credit.
